The bulk of this years flower purchases went into the north side of the stoop. I planted the Bacopa and Impatiens from Barton in two pots.
Last year, I transplanted the two Golden Currant bushes and some self-tipped American Black Currant rootlets in front of the brick facade just north of the stoop. These are doing well, and the Golden Currant is in full bloom.
I dotted the area around the currants with four snapdragon and four dahlia seedlings from the Barton sale. Then I transplanted some violets and red clover to the area between the pots and the stepping stone. I hope this will make for a colorful and inviting stoop entrance.
